What is Holberg Prize?
The Holberg International Prize is awarded annually for outstanding scholarly work in the fields of the arts and humanitites, social sciences, law and theology. The prize for 2007 is NOK 4.5 million(EUR555,000/USD750,000)
The Nils Klim Prize is awarded to young Nordic researchers under 35 years within the academic fields of the Holberg Prize.
The Holberg Prize School Project is a research competetion for pupils in the upper secondary school.
The Holberg Prize was established by the Norwegian Parliament in 2003.
